England's holiday boating heartland for over a century, the Broads are a world apart of lakes and slow-flowing rivers.

The Broads are a boating paradise, with over 125 miles of waterways for you to explore in Norfolk and Suffolk. well as six rivers, there are over 40 broads, or shallow lakes, formed in medieval times when peat was dug out to use as fuel. Later, water levels rose and the peat diggings flooded to create this unique wetland.

With your hand on the wheel and the wind in your hair, boating on the Broads is a great way to rediscover the joys of a slower way of life. But land-lubbers should not fear: with riverside pubs, prime fishing, spectacular sailing races, nature trails and delightful walks abounding, there's truly something for everyone here.
